Jean Dougherty is a nurse educator and healthcare simulationist with a clinical background in pediatric intensive care. Deeply passionate about education and building the next generation of nurses, Jean has held a wide range of academic roles throughout her career — including lead pediatric faculty, clinical instructor, clinical coordinator, and simulation director. In her current role as an NPD Specialist in PCS Education at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, she works alongside senior hospital leadership and academic partners to find new ways to bridge the gap between nursing academics and nursing practice. Through didactic, clinical, and simulated experiences for pre-licensure students, Jean is at the forefront of creating innovative pathways that prepare aspiring nurses for the realities of healthcare today.
